Steven Murphy is a cardiac surgeon who develops a paternal friendship with a 16-year-old named Martin. Over time Steven introduces Martin to his wife and two children and the boy becomes something like an adopted son. It’s not long before things start to get wrong.

Reaching back to classical Greek tragedy for inspiration, this hypnotic tale of guilt and retribution offers mesmerizing camera work and a first class cast. The film won the Best Screenplay Award at Cannes.

Filmography:  The Lobster (2015),  Alps (2011),  Dogtooth (2009).

The film contains scenes of a disturbing nature.
