Israeli Young Creation

The Jury:

Vered Berman - Director and producer, Berman holds an MA in Communications from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an MA in Radio, Film and Television from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she later worked as a guest lecturer. Berman worked as a filmmaker, editor, producer and investigative reporter on Israeli Channel 1 and after taking early retirement co-founded an independent production company. Her credits as director and producer include The Disappearance of the Children of Yemen, Wanda's Lists, Hanita's Lost Identity, Tzvika, Joseph and Maria, My Sister Tikva and Mirale. 

Leah Tonic - Producer and director, Leah Tonic graduated from the Sam Spiegel Film School in Jerusalem. Her graduation film Firstborn won the Short Film Award at the 2014 Haifa Festival among other awards and was screened in numerous festivals around the world, including Tribeca. Since then Tonic has produced a number of short films, and is currently executive producing a tribute to Israeli filmmaker Avraham Heffner.

Haggai Arad - Director, producer and high-school film teacher, Arad studied film at Sapir Academic College. He directed Trip over My Tongue for Yes Docu and produced Red Leaves, winners of the Film Debut Award and Fipresci Award at the 2014 Jerusalem Festival and Inertia, screened at the 2015 Haifa Festival and the 2016 Berlinale. Arad is the producer of Between World, taking part in the Israeli Features Competition at the 2016 Haifa Festival.
