It Will Happen Tonight spans a 14-year period, chronicling the fragmented and poorly timed romance between Matteo (Louis Garrel) and Greta (Jasmine Trinca). The narrative unfolds across various European cities through a series of sliding-doors encounters, highlighting their persistent bad timing as they navigate their respective marriages and family commitments.

Nanni Moretti's new film, based on the book Hungry Heart by Eshkol Nevo, comes to the festival directly from its world premiere at the Venice Festival. With strong performances from Jasmine Trinca and Louis Garrel and Moretti's signature whimsical style, the film received a warm nine-minute ovation at the festival.
