When Elka discovers who her best friend is marrying, she has 24 hours in a chaotic Jewish bridal shower to stop the wedding and save Menucha from a predictable, miserable life.
Ever since Menucha became religious again, Elka felt betrayed, and the best friends haven’t spoken in months. When Elka learns that Menucha is getting married in two days, she shows up uninvited to Menucha’s Shabbos Kallah. When she sees the groom for the first time, Elka realizes that they share a dark past; She’s determined to call off the wedding.

Aleeza Chanowitz attended the Sam Spiegel Film school. Her short film "Mushkie" premiered at the Berlinale and her graduation film “Shabbos Kallah” received four international prizes. Alongside developing her debut feature film, her television series "Chanshi" which she created, wrote and will be playing the lead for HOT is currently in production.
