A delicate portrait of a  prosecutor, searching for her place in a masculine world, inspired by a young, rebellious sex assault victim.  

Reut, a hardworking prosecutor, gets a new sex assault case, which is based on the sole testimony of Efrat, the victim. The brutal procedure in the courtroom reveals Efrat’s bravery and the system’s helplessness. Reut, affected by Efrat, takes a deep dive into her own personal life.

Filmmakers

Shiri Nevo Fridental, director and screenwriter.  Before studying Film at “Minshar for art” film department, Shiri was a prosecutor at the central district attorney’s office. Hang by a Thread participated at the Sam Spiegel international film lab of 2019, and it’s Shiri’s debut feature film.
