In a central Madrid building, neighbors meet in Alberto's apartment to vote on the budget for replacing the elevator. However, when news breaks that a new tenant with mental health issues is going to rent the apartment from one of the owners, the revelation hits like a bombshell and causes the neighbors to reconsider their vote.
Filmmaker Santiago Requejo delivers a dramatic comedy with depth and substance – using humor to address a very modern and universal subject with compassion and understanding. Requejo's original short film, released in 2021, won more than 100 international awards, earned a Goya nomination, and was shortlisted for an Oscar. Adapted into a stage play, it now returns in this feature-length version.
