In 1982 French President François Mitterrand launches an international architectural competition for the flagship project of his presidency: the Great Arch of La Défense, aligned with the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe. Against all odds, Danish architect Otto von Spreckelsen wins. While the architect intends to build the Great Arch exactly as he envisioned, he soon finds his ideas colliding with practical constraints and the vicissitudes of politics.

The Great Arch, starring Claes Bang (The Square), is based on the true story behind the iconic modern monument of Paris. But above all, it is the portrait of an uncompromising individual with rare talent, who will do everything to realize his dream.

Filmography: Borgo (2023), The Girl with a Bracelet (2019), Cléo & Paul (2018).
