Dalia grew up in London feeling disconnected and aimless. Everything changes when her mother sends her to a small village in the Langhe area of Piedmont, to care for her ailing grandfather, Igor, an expert forager. Dalia discovers that local wineries are trying to take over his land. Armed with Igor’s field notes and accompanied by his loyal dog Birba, she searches for a rare white truffle that could save his home and heritage.

Trifole is a bittersweet portrait of a vanishing rural way of life. The film is set in the rarely filmed UNESCO World Heritage region of Alba in Piedmont - considered the truffle capital of the world - and talks about reconnecting with nature and honoring tradition.

Filmography: The Grand Bolero (2021).
