Fleeing from fellow officers, Santiago - an Argentinian policeman - crosses into Uruguay, seeking refuge in the small town of Fray Bentos. With no money or shelter, but with plenty of kindness and wit, he begins to rebuild his life with help from the locals, and even meeting the woman he believes could be the love of his life.

The new film from actor-director Daniel Hendler is a sharply observed road movie that blends suspense with gentle moments of humor, touching on Hendler’s central theme, identity. “It is a film about the hope of changing destiny,” said Hendler.

Filmography: The Candidate (2017), Norberto’s Deadline (2011).
