A Hafla Honoring Yehuda Keisar and the Live Music Culture of the 1980s.

"HALTURA" (18 minutes) – an Israeli short film premiering for the first time.

The year is 1985. Jackie, a disabled singer, and Yehuda, his guitarist, travel the desert in search of gigs, money, and appreciation. Jackie is obsessed with performing, while Yehuda just wants to provide for his family. After a failed gig, Jackie will do whatever it takes to win back the audience - but risks losing his loyal partner.

One day, 700 kilometers, three gigs, and barely enough cash. The rising tension puts their partnership to the test.

Inspired by the true story of Jackie Mekaiten and Yehuda Keisar.

Following the screening, a live performance will take place featuring the legendary Yehuda Keisar together with singer Udi Tzabari, who portrays Mekaiten in the film. An unforgettable evening that is both a tribute to Yehuda, a remembrance of Jackie, and a wild cultural celebration.
