A Star Is Born

A Star Is Born is one of the screen's classic love stories (previously filmed in 1937 and 1954, and most recently remade in 2018). The fire of Barbra Streisand, the magnetism of Kris Kristofferson, and one of the most popular song scores ever, bring a new passion and timeliness to the story.

John Norman Howard's rock star career is on a downward spiral as years of drinking, touring, and cocaine use catch up with him. When he discovers Esther Hoffman singing in a small club, he refocuses his energy on her, helping her become a bright new singing star. Esther finds herself falling in love with the reckless John Norman, and the greater her success, the greater his sense of failure.
