Ava, 13, is spending the summer on the Atlantic coast when she learns that she will lose her sight sooner than expected. Her mother decides to act as if everything were normal but Ava confronts the problem in her own way. She steals a big black dog that belongs to a young gypsy.

Léa Mysius' beautifully shot debut was presented in the Critics’ Week section of the 2017 Cannes Festival. The film is a complex coming of age story as Ava’s loss of sight perhaps mirrors her loss of innocence.
