Ukraine, 1941. In a village occupied by the Germans, six-year-old Anna regains consciousness in the mass grave in which she and her Jewish family have been interred. She manages to escape and hides in the chimney of a school building that has been requisitioned by the Nazis. Outside, the war rages: inside, there is a child trying to survive.

Anna’s War centers on a remarkable performance from young Marta Kozlova and shows the war from a completely different perspective.
