My Life as a Courgette

On one hand, the cartoon is never afraid to be cute, but more importantly, it’s committed to being real.

After his mother’s sudden death, 9-year-old Courgette is befriended by a kind police officer, Raymond, who accompanies the boy to a foster home filled with other orphans his age. Courgette struggles at first to find his place in this strange, at times hostile, environment. With Raymond’s help and his newfound friends, Courgette eventually learns to trust and finds true love.

"A compact triumph of stop-motion animation in the service of a bittersweet tale, My Life as a Courgette is as delightful as it is affecting" - Screen Daily.
