Nils drives a snowplow, endlessly clearing the roads in a remote, northern winter paradise. Life is good, and he’s just been presented with the town’s Citizen of the Year award when he receives news that his son has died and soon uncovers evidence of the young man’s murder. Armed with heavy machinery and a good dose of beginner’s luck, Nils embarks upon a quest for revenge, with the body count spiraling ever higher and higher.

Hans Petter Moland depicts Nils’ righteous vengeance spiraling out of control with style, humor, and surprise, delivering an entertaining and intelligent action-thriller where Dirty Harry meets Fargo.

The Haifa IFF bids farewell to Bruno Ganz (1941–2019).

Hans Petter Moland is a guest of the festival.
His film "Out Stealing Horses" is part of the Carmel International Film Competition.
