The discovery of her grandfather’s WWII-era diary leads the teenager on a search for a buried treasure while the appearance of a mysterious vagrant forces a change in the relationship between daughter and father.

Winner of the Best Film Award at the Tallinn Black Nights Festival, Kontora takes us on an emotional journey between past and present, realism and magical realism, family drama and poetic allegory. The polished black-and-white cinematography and strong performances further add to the charm of the film.
