Academy Award nominees Sally Hawkins and Ethan Hawke star in the true story of Maud Lewis, who overcame the physical challenge of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis to become one of Canada’s premier folk artists.

Reclusive Everett Lewis hires a fragile yet determined woman named Maudie to be his housekeeper. Maudie, hunched with crippled hands, yearns to be independent, to live away from her protective family and she also yearns, passionately, to create art. Unexpectedly, Everett finds himself falling in love.

Filmography: A Poet in New York (2014), The Daisy Chain (2008), Song for a Raggy Boy (2003).
