Svetla is a widow who has recently lost her job as a teacher. She lives in a village close to the border between Bulgaria and Turkey, where refugees often enter illegally, trying to reach Germany. One day, while hunting in the forest, Svetla comes across Bamba, fleeing from Mali. The decision to help him will change her life dramatically.

Winner of the Grand Prix at the Tallin Black Nights Festival, Fear looks at the refugee issue in Europe with fresh eyes, balancing dry humor with relevant drama. The film was shot in black and white.

Filmography: Losers (2015), Footsteps in the Sand (2010).
