In the rain-drenched slums of Hong Kong, two cops - a grizzled old-timer and a crisp newbie with a toothache - are engaged in an increasingly desperate hunt for a serial killer. Along the way, a young informer joins their cause - risking her life because of the killer’s predilection for female social outcasts - and the stage is set for a terrifying game of cat and mouse.

Frantic and squalid, Limbo takes the Hong Kong thriller and re-envisages it in an urban hellscape strewn with trash and falling into decay. The glistening monochrome cinematography, the supreme mastery of fight choreography, and the hellfire-and-brimstone, elevate it to an intense and unforgettable film.
