Julius is a museum keeper. He is presentable, eloquent, loved by those around him, and his friends are pleased when he invites them to go on a sailing trip. But, little by little, cracks appear in his story and it soon turns out that Julius is not who he seems to be.
Axiom takes us into the land of comfortably well-educated, middle-class environment and cleverly, teasingly, fills us with unease through casual falsehoods, compulsive fakery and crumbling facades. Beautifully written and acted, the film is a fascinating exploration of identity and self-presentation.
