Ricardo sails with his two daughters on a deserted lake in southern Chile. He hopes to visit his childhood home and to spend some rare time with the girls. Ricardo is already prejudiced against the indigenous Mapuche tribe, so, when he sees three young local fishermen frantically waving from a small boat, he refuses to help, arguing they look suspicious.

Filmmaker Nicolás Postiglione creates in his feature debut a complex psychological thriller that explores themes of family, class and fear. Celebrated Chilean actor Alfred Castro is excellent as Ricardo, a man led to his doom by paranoia and hubris.
