Margaret has a history of violent behavior. One day, during a furious argument, she hits her mother Christina, a fragile, immature woman who blames Margaret for ruining her dreams of a career as a concert pianist. Margaret is hit with a restraining order: She must stay 100 meters away from the house for three months. Marion, her young sister, paints a blue line around the house. This only exacerbates Margaret's desire to be closer to her family.

Ursula Meier explores the complicated dynamics of a divided family and presents a poignant study of bonds and boundaries. The film is rounded with music, moments of humor and fine acting.

Filmography:  Sister (2012), Home (2008).
