In 2012, having been lost for over 500 years, the remains of King Richard III were discovered beneath a carpark in Leicester. The search had been orchestrated by an amateur historian, Philippa Langley (Sally Hawkins), whose unrelenting research had been met with incomprehension by her friends and family and with skepticism by experts and academics. Refusing to be ignored, taking on the country's most eminent historians, Langley would force them to think again about one of the most controversial kings in England's history.

The life-affirming true story The Lost King, the new film from celebrated filmmaker Stephen Frears, comes to Haifa from its world premiere at the Toronto Festival.

Filmography: Victoria & Abdul (2017), Philomena (2013), The Queen (2006), The Grifters (1990), Dangerous Liaisons (1988), My Beautiful Laundrette (1985)
