The story of the rise and fall of one of the most powerful people in the Israeli film industry, Yehuda Barkan - who served as the producer, actor, writer and the investor, sometimes the only one, in his films.

Along with never-before-seen archival materials, this documentary will reveal how Barkan decided to beat the system in his own way.

After his first movie roles, he switched genres like a chameleon, starring in the “Borekas movies”, the controversial candied camera films and melodramas.

When he failed in his personal life he made sure to write a "Hollywood ending" and film it as scenes in his films.

When he was at the height of his power, he decided to bet it all by making motion pictures all by himself, and he lost.
