Israeli Cinema - Short Films - Jury

Rony Oren – Animator, film director and illustrator, playing with clay and Plasticine over 40 years. His work includes the series Tales of a Wise King, Foxy Fables, and Grabbit the Rabbit. His films have been screened on more than 80 television networks around the world, including the BBC, British Channel 4, CBS, ABC, and Disney Channel. He was the head of the Departments of Animation and Screen Based Arts at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. He is now a professor of animation there.

Marat Parkhomovsky – Cinema and theatre artist and entrepreneur. Together with Avital Bekerman, he created the Israeli Cinema Testimonial Database, a broad documental new media project that currently consists of over 300 hours of interviews with the pioneers of the Israeli film industry. For creating this project, he received the Cinema Art Award from the Israeli Ministry of Culture. He was one of the founders of the Cinema of Israel Website, the local version of the IMDB, and has been the project's content manager and main producer. He has also directed various theatre productions on the prominent stages of the alternative theatres of Israel.

Vidi Bilu – Graduate of films studies from Beit ZviSchool of the Performing Arts. Her feature debut, Close to Home, won the 2006 Berlinale CICAE Award, and the 2005 Jerusalem Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. It was screened at the festivals of Tribeca, London, and Miami as well, to name a few. Her second feature, Fragile, was released in 2014. She is highly experienced in the Israeli TV and film industry, and has worked as a director, playwright and editor. Currently she is a "mentor" in several cinematic greenhouses, screenplays editor, and script-reader in various film funds.
