Hungarian Wedding

In 1980, two Budapest students, Péter and András, hoping to hit the big time with their rock band, travel to Transylvania for a cousin’s wedding. What begins as a daring plan to smuggle antique icons across the border to fund their musical aspirations, takes an unexpected turn when Péter meets Kati, the bride’s sister. 

Hungarian Wedding is a sweeping romantic drama. Against the backdrop of a picturesque Kalotaszeg village wedding, the film interlaces romance with the pulsating rhythms of folk music and dance. Passion and heritage intertwine, celebrating both the resilience of young hearts and the timeless power of Hungarian folk culture.
