Stalker

After a meteorite hits the earth, the region where it’s fallen is believed to grant the wishes of those who enter and, sealed off by the authorities, can be entered only with special guides. One of them, the stalker, leads a writer and a professor in search of a fabled room.

A religious allegory, a reflection of political anxieties, a meditation on film itself - Andrei Tarkovsky’s science fiction masterpiece returns to the screen in a new restoration.

Filmography: Nostalgia (1983), The Mirror (1975), Solaris (1972), Andrei Rublev (1969), Ivan's Childhood (1962).
