Lily is terminally ill. With the support of her husband Paul, she has decided to end her life on her own terms. Lily and Paul summon their loved ones to their country house for one final gathering, but tensions quickly boil over between her two daughters and threaten to destabilize what was intended to be a peaceful collective farewell.

Blackbird is a remake of Bille August’s award-winning 2014 Danish film Silent Heart. Roger Michell creates a thought-provoking family drama with the help of a sublime ensemble cast.

Filmography:  My Cousin Rachel (2017), Le Week-End (2013), Hyde Park on Hudson (2012), Venus (2006), Notting Hill (1999).
