Guan Ning has spent six years desperately searching for his abducted daughter. After exhausting his resources, he accepts a secret task to assassinate a novelist in exchange for information about the girl. The novelist, Lu Kongwen, has an ability to influence one's fate with his writing. At the same time, in the fantasy world created by Kongwen, a young man living in medieval-like realm is ready to take revenge on his sister's enemies. The two worlds begin to interact, affecting the fate of the three men.
