Nicolas Cage stars as Rob, a reclusive truffle hunter and former chef, living alone in the wilderness of Oregon. His beloved truffle-finding pig is his sole company and source of income. When the pig goes missing, Rob must return to Portland and the  previous life he’s deliberately left behind in search of his beloved foraging animal, going after the swine who took her.

The opening film of the Edinburgh Festival, Pig offers a fresh and exciting mix of revenge thriller and character-driven drama. It allows Cage to deliver a more soulful, finely calibrated performance that once again proves just how eclectic and magnetic an actor he is.
