With his father in prison and his brother abroad, young Rakib works as the lone housekeeper in an empty mansion belonging to Purna, a retired general. Purna returns home to start his mayoral election campaign and soon becomes a mentor and father figure for the boy. Rakib rewards him with loyalty that will kick off an escalating chain of violence.

Autobiography, the feature debut of film critic-turned-filmmaker Makbul Mubarak, has been screened in the leading festivals around the world and won 14 awards. The film is a polished coming-of-age drama that takes us to an exotic locale and the conflict between loyalty and justice.
