Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, one of cinema's most memorable "buddy" films, was inspired by the story of two real-life bank robbers, and established Paul Newman and Robert Redford as a screen team for the ages. It won four Oscars, including one for the popular theme song, "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," by Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

Butch and Sundance are the leaders of the Hole-in-the-Wall Gang. Butch is all ideas; Sundance is all action. The West is becoming civilized, and when Butch and Sundance rob one train too many, a special posse begins trailing them. Over rocks, through towns, across rivers, the law is always on their tail. When they finally escape through sheer luck, Butch has another bright idea: "Let's go to Bolivia."
