Amberson may be awkward at sports, but his imagination comes to the fore when he helps the handsome school hero pursue Agnes, the daughter of the visiting French teacher, despite being in love with her himself.

Toby Macdonald’s feature debut is a re-working of Cyrano de Bergerac’s classic story, set against the backdrop of a rough-and-tumble boarding school for boys. Rising talent Alex Lawther, critically acclaimed for his role as the young Alan Turing in The Imitation Game stars in this lovely comedy based on a timeless story.
