Record producer Danny (Daniel Mays), a brash city boy, is tricked by his fellow producers into signing up the local singing fishermen of a remote Cornish village. Reluctant at first, Danny is soon drawn in by the culture and traditions of the fishing villagers, and makes it his mission to get them a record deal, despite much resistance from his colleagues.

Based on the unlikely but real-life story of a group of Cornish guard/lifeboat workers Fisherman's Friends is a heart-warming romantic comedy with beautiful music.
