Hussein wakes up on the morning of his father’s funeral. In the courtyard, his deer, Widian, is running amok. The Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, where they live, is under lockdown after a recent suicide attack. Hussein’s concern for the deer escalates as the funeral procession is stuck at a checkpoint. He sets out on a search for her – as well as for anourishment for his soul. (15 Min.)
