Venera lives in a small town in Kosovo, near the North Macedonian border. At home, three generations are constantly under one another’s feet in their cramped house. Outside too, on the streets and in the café, there is not much privacy. The lively, modern teenager struggles against the traditional surroundings and her spirits lift when she makes friends with the rebellious Dorina.

Norika Sefa’s feature debut is intimate coming-of-age story. The subtle and sensitive film follows the choices of a girl when there is not much to choose from, enhanced by beautiful images shot by Venezuelan cinematographer Luis Armando Arteaga.
