Mehran Tamadon has spent years filming defenders of the Iranian regime, seeking to open a space for dialogue. Exiled in France, he asks three Iranian refugees - who have experienced the repression of the regime - to reconstruct their experiences, and to put him through an ideological interrogation. The role finally falls to one of them, the Cannes-winning lead actor of Holy Spider, Zar Amir Ebrahimi.

The documentary film My Worst Enemy is an examination of the nature of power and coercion, a film that astonishes and unsettles as this violent experience soon gets out of control.
