Fuyuko lives quietly, working as a freelance proofreader. A subtle shift begins when she meets Mitsutsuka, a reserved high school physics teacher, at a local cultural center. Drawn to his gentle manner, Fuyuko begins meeting him regularly at a café. A fragile sense of connection gradually takes shape, but they both carry things they do not easily reveal.

Yukiko Sode's tale of lost souls finding an unexpected connection comes to the festival following its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. The film explores themes of loneliness and love, establishing Sode as one of the most exciting emerging voices in contemporary Japanese cinema.

Filmography: Aristocrats (2020), Good Stripes (2015), Mime-mime (2008).
