Colette

Keira Knightley stars in this historical drama about the French novelist, whose provocative debut - falsely credited to her husband - becomes the toast of Paris, triggering a battle for identity, equality, and self-determination at the dawn of the feminist age.

Colette is arguably one of France’s most important and groundbreaking writers, and her writing bucked the societal constraints placed on women. The film tells the story of this iridescent artist’s creative awakening in turn-of-the-century Paris - a place as dynamic and modern as she was.
